I remember when you were born. You had your mum wake me up in the wee small hours in the morning to tell me you were arriving and from that moment on my life changed. Goodness I even stopped drinking then not because I wanted to but because I knew you were going to make me buy every little cuddly cute little toy that I saw that I knew would bring a smile to your face. Days old and I was out pushing you in your massive Silver Cross Pram, no buggies back then [see how old you are xxx] In fact, the first Sunday you were born I took you out in it and when I got back there were two occupants in the pram and there was almost no room for you as when I got to the local mini market shop, McColl, next to The Fluke Pub on Culcabock Road they had a massive big pink teddy and I couldn't resist buying it fort you. Mother refused to put it in the cot with you for fear it would smother you ......

I know I was far from the perfect dad, but in my own way I did try and still do even although I know you get frustrated with me at times and do you know what you will continue to get frustrated with me as I plan to cling oin for as long as I can ......

Love you and Brian and Jennifer xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18318793094470458468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3577380687838652578.post-62453192532787422362013-09-28T10:16:32.163+01:002013-09-28T10:16:32.163+01:00I remember years and years and years and years ago...I remember years and years and years and years ago, how old are you now? Anyway, you were still at college and you were studying to be a fitness instructor or some such thing as that all you had wanted to do since you were about 12. It was a Saturday and you had had a long lie as you were on lates in the part time job you had with Burger King and I had just prepared lunch, al fresco in the garden of baked whole trout, home made potatoe salad, tomatoes dripping in extra virgin olive oil and a big bowl of greens.

You appeared at the back door and sat down with mum and me and we were about to start and you suddenly shrieked in pain. I remember mum and me panicking and we got you into the car and took you to the hospital. I still can't think for the life of me why we took you to Harold Wood and not Basildon, but no matter, we got you there and it was discovered that your appendix had burst ........ That knocked you for six and for some reason you didn't continue with your studies even although you and I had travelled to Leicester to check out the University that you wanted to go to.

So after all these years, you've done it and qualified and you know how proud this makes me feel that you have finally achieved a child hood ambition and you are happy and even allowing for this little hiccup in my life and that I may not be around for as long as we would like, never forget how proud of you I am and how much I love you. I know I was away for a while working, in the army and then off to London for a couple of years while you were still in Inverness and that money was always tight, but out of my mistakes you learned, so that's good right.....

Don't be sad my darling, you have a wonderful husband in Peter and two great kids and mum says she will be around in to her 90's so you will always have her around being the royal pain that she is to us all (xxxxx) and I will always be proud of you and love you Jesuits stop giving me that despairing look when I do something that you disapprove of, it scares me xxxxx :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18318793094470458468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3577380687838652578.post-33770756488846138932012-12-20T21:02:47.120+00:002012-12-20T21:02:47.120+00:00Hey, we'll done, so proud and I know you will ...Hey, we'll done, so proud and I know you will do great at this xxxxxxAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18318793094470458468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3577380687838652578.post-16970088874755863332012-08-27T21:23:05.602+01:002012-08-27T21:23:05.602+01:00That's granddad's girl and if you had any ...That's granddad's girl and if you had any sense you could have goy Charlie down there with his hat too and they could have made enough to pay for the day!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18318793094470458468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3577380687838652578.post-77877339951099540312012-07-28T19:30:10.148+01:002012-07-28T19:30:10.148+01:00Sheesh, you never hear me complaining at stuff lik...Sheesh, you never hear me complaining at stuff like this, where do you get that from......Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18318793094470458468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3577380687838652578.post-63159248904941273782012-07-20T22:39:39.628+01:002012-07-20T22:39:39.628+01:00Not sure yet keeping my options open.
